Steven Kamuty Elder Kamuty was born in Romania. He and his wife Lia have a daughter and 3 grandchildren. He has been a friend of the Seventh-day Adventist Church since 1989 and a baptized member since 1995. He joined the Duluth church 7 years ago.
His favorite bible verse is promise of hope found in Revelation 22:12- And behold, I come quickly and my reword is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. His Spiritual Gift is Evangelism. The church ministry he is an advisor to is the Health ministry. Steven enjoys fixing things.
His aim in life is to keep his eyes on Jesus, love GOD, his wife, his neighbors, and to grow spiritually. |

Brent Mann Elder Mann was born in Pee Wee Valley, Kentucky. He and his wife Mayra have three boys, Caleb, Jared, and Justin. He was born and raised Seventh-day Adventist and has been a member of the Duluth church for 4 years.
Brent’s favorite bible verse is John 10:10- The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life and have it to the full. His spiritual gifts are Teaching and Helping. He is an elder advisor for VBS and family ministries.
He has a love for Cars and believes it's more fun to Love. |

John Ciasca Elder Ciasca was born in Christ Hospital, Jersey City, NJ. His son and daughter, Dominic and Julia, respectively are technically 4th generation Adventists. His wife Rebecca is a 3rd generation Adventist. John’s a convert. He joined the church in 1989 and has been a member of Duluth for 12 years.
His favorite bible verse is Revelation 22:20 - He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. Elder Ciasca has a love for Teaching, which is his spiritual gift. He is the elder advisor for Prayer Ministry and is an assistant to Evangelism and Personal Ministries. John says his hobby is more like a passion- “Preparing all I know of the soon coming of Christ. It’s real soon!”
His personal philosophy on life is to live every day as it might be your last. Humble yourself each day before Christ and try to let your light shine each day when you leave your home. |
William Torres Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Elder Torres and his wife Janet Rivera-Torres, have four children: Kenneth- age 14, Jonathan- age 12, and very beautiful and high-spirited twins, Laila & Kaila- age 6 years old. His family have been members of the Duluth church for 11 years. He was born and raised Seventh-day Adventist.
His favorite bible verse is John 3:17- For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. William is a very patient man. Teaching is not only his spiritual gift, it is also his occupation. He is an advisor to the Adventures and is the Lead elder in Hispanic Ministry. He enjoys coaching volleyball & soccer.
Elder Torres’ philosophy is very simple: Haz el bien sin mirar a quien. Which means, Do good without discriminating to whom. |

Wilter Jose Munoz Elder Munoz was born in Pereira, Colombia. His wife is Hancy. Wilter has two sons named Joshua and Kenn. His daughter’s name is Valentina. She is 19 years old and lives in Spain. He has been an Adventist since in 2007. They have been members of Duluth since 2010.
The bible text that gives him the most confidence is Philippians 4:13- I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Elder Munoz says, “My spiritual gift is Jesus!!!” He is an elder advisor to Sabbath School and the Hispanic Ministry. He enjoys playing soccer.
His philosophy of life is that life is easy when you have a connection with God and family is very important. |

Stephen Kamau Elder Kamau was born in Kenya, East Africa. He and his wife Lydia have two children Deshante and Angel. His family loves to travel, volunteer, and entertain guests in their home. He was born into an Adventist family and has been a member of Duluth SDA church for over ten years.
His favorite verse in the bible is Philippians 4:4- Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say, Rejoice. Elder Kamau’s spiritual gifts are Exhortation, Teaching, and Leadership. He is the director of Family Life Ministry, the elder advisor to Women's Ministry, and he’s a Sabbath School teacher. His hobbies include playing soccer, tennis and listening to music.
Stephen’s philosophy in life is- living in harmony with God brings peace to others and myself. |

Bentley Thompson Elder Thompson was born in Jamaica. He and his wife Joan have a family two sons, Joel and Benito, and a daughter, Janae. He was born and raised by Seventh-day Adventist parents and became a baptized member of the Adventist Church just before his 9th birthday. The Thompson's have been members of the Duluth church for approximately 13 years.
Elder Thompson’s favorite bible verse is Philippians 4:19- And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." His spiritual gift is Teaching. He is an advisor for Sabbath School, Pathfinders, and is very active in Family Life and Music ministries. Bentley’s hobbies include computer programming and robotics (he enjoys automating tasks).
His philosophy on life is: Nothing happens without a cause nothing happens. It's not a mistake - there is a cause for every action. Similarly, having a great cause is motivation for making good things happen. Being mindful of the law of cause and effect, allows us to exercise more control in determining the results of our actions, while avoiding "nothingness" as a result of our in-action. "Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, But a good word makes it glad." - Proverbs 12:25 |
Gerard Carter Elder Carter was born in Birmingham, Alabama. His wife is Felecia. Gerard is blessed to have 5 grown children (Bonisha, Tawanda, Kenneth, Jacqueline, and Shondra) and 5 grandkids (Marlon, Jordan, Caileigh, Jayden, and Chloe) living nearby. He has been a Seventh-day Adventist for 18 years and a very active member of the Duluth church for 10 of those years.
His favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11- For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Elder Carter’s spiritual gifts are Encouragement and Helps. He is an elder advisor for Children and Youth Ministries, and AY. Gerard enjoys reading.
His personal message is that we all have a wonderful gift from our Creator and that is the ability to share His love with the world. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. -Ephesians 2:10 (NLT) |
